Page Poetry Parlor presents: Sasha Steensen, Philip Jenks & Laura Sims co-sponsored with FENCE BOOKS 

Sasha Steensen is the author of House of Deer, The Method, and A Magic Book, all from Fence Books, as well as several chapbooks, including Waters: A Lenten Poem (Free Poetry) and The Future of the Illusion (Dos Press). Recent work has appeared or is forthcoming in Black Warrior Review, Omniverse, and Jubilat. She serves as one of the poetry editors for Colorado Review, and she teaches Literature and Creative Writing at Colorado State University.

Philip Jenks lives in Chicago. His poems have appeared in Chicago Review, Cannibal, Typo, Fence, Cultural Society, H_NGM_N, Canarium, LVNG, and elsewhere. His books include On the Cave You Live In (Flood Editions), My First Painting will be ‘The Accuser’ (Zephyr Press), a collaborative volume of poetry with Simone Muench, Disappearing Address (Blazevox Books). He has toured and recorded with Neil Michael Hagerty as a member of The Howling Hex. Beyond writing, his specializations are in gender studies, animal rights, and political philosophy. He teaches English at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Political Philosophy at Lewis University. He likes good music and pinball.

Laura Sims is the author of My god is this a man, Stranger and Practice, Restraint, all from Fence Books, and of Fare Forward: Letters with David Markson (Powerhouse Books, 2014). She co-edits Instance Press and teaches literature and creative writing in NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
